Milwaukee Road F9A 93C, Milwaukee, WI rs

This old girl was getting some TLC back in June, 1976 during the Milwaukee Road Railfan’s Association meet in Milwaukee. In fact, there’s three guys making sure the 93C, a F9A, will be really to answer its next call. The 93C started life as a freight engine, but was regeared and given a Cummins power unit to supply HEP to run in commuter service. Having been replaced by the F40C’s, she wound up in freight service. Eventually, she would be sold to Chrome Crankshaft in 1980 and scrapped. Thanks to Chuck Zeiler’s excellent notes on the 93C for the info.
