VICE Guide to Karachi with Suroosh Alvi : Pakistan’s Most Violent City (Part 1/5)

Sure, we hear about violence in Pakistan all the time, but in 2011, more than three times as many people were killed in Karachi than the number of people killed in American drone strikes in the tribal areas. VICE explores the seedy underbelly of this ultra-violent metropolis of more than eighteen million people, and meet the players who make Karachi one of the craziest cities on earth.

  1. Unfortunately at That time Karachi was Mizapur of Pakistan. Feeling so sad to see those vides as a Pakistani citizen. but karachi is in much batter condition today in 2023. Also the political instability and Economic crisis due to lack of seriousness from political and rulling parties for dacades is bringing those bad days back with them. I hope my words will prove wrong in future because I can't see any city to be Old Karachi again. Still I think How people can live and survive in such situations. May Allah Almighty Protect Us from these groups of Evil and Bad People and Make Pakistan a Developed Country

  2. Chaudhry aslam was originally from mansehra pakistan my hometown he was killed in a bomb blast the other guy uzair balouch is jailed now for 55 murder cases registered against his name

  3. What's with this obsession for fake American accent these average English speaking Pakistanis have?! We need a separate documentary for that

  4. Lyari is full of Tigers. The most underrated area of Pakistan. My mamo was the MAN of Lyari and he wasn't a gangsta. Been to Lyari once in early 90s. Can't wait to go visit Lyari next time I visit Karachi.

  5. This whole drama is over in 2015, and now this is a peaceful city With extra security, as special force ranger as well as police is all over the city, thanks to the Nawaz Sharif Government👍
